Some final notes on the belgian tour:

  • The gig in Liège was by far the best one from the 5 gigs I've seen. Brussels and Brugge were the 2nd best, followed by Leuven and Hasselt
  • Best crowd was Liège, followed by Brussels and Brugge
  • The old songs clearly got most crowd reaction, but some VP-songs (apart from The Architect and Slow) like Is A Robot and Favorite Game got massive response too
  • The live-version of Slow has changed from dramatically to excellent the last week
  • They had some problems with the in-ear monitors, but those problems seem to be under controle since Brugge and Brussels
  • Mauro's contribution can't be minimalised, but he lost some of his craziness on stage
  • I haven't seen a lot of teenagers at the gigs I've been to. Offcourse the dEUS-audience has grown up together with the band, but during the PR-tour I remember I saw loads of youngsters
  • I haven't heard one bad word about Blackbox Revelation. A revelation for all people who hadn't seen them before.
  • They seem to have about 13 songs they play every night and complete the setlist with 4 or 5 other songs that can be different from night to night
  • They've always played : When She Comes Down , Sun Ra, Favorite Game, Fell Off The Floor, Man, Slow, Nothing Really Ends, Bad Timing, Instant Street, The Architect
Is A Robot, Theme From Turnpike, Oh Your God, Suds & Soda
  • Other songs they played: What We Talk About (Hasselt, Liège, Charleroi) , Smokers Reflect (Hasselt, Leuven, Charleroi and Brussels) Popular Culture (Hasselt and Brussels), Eternal Woman (Charleroi and Brussels), The Vanishing Of Maria Schneider (Hasselt, Liège, Leuven, Brugge), Pocket Revolution (Liège), Roses (Hasselt, Leuven, Charleroi, Brugge and Brussels)

"I haven't heard one bad word about Blackbox Revelation."

Except that they were boring. And the singer has got zero personality. And let's not forget the utterly humiliating scene after the Leuven concert when the merchandise table held up a bunch of BBR CDs and NOBODY was interested in buying one.
